Established in 1991, the team at Turnberry Rug Works hand produce exquisite, bespoke rugs and wall hangings from a converted granary building nestled in by the shore at Turnberry, on the scenic south west coast of Scotland.
Manufacturing using only the highest quality wools and natural fibres, between using the hand tufted method and maintaining close relationships with dyers Turnberry Rug Works can create almost any concept. Every step of the way the team discusses with clients their specific sizes, matched colours, the specific yarns and the structure of the rug. Exact sizing and shapes are possible. This care and attention results in rugs which delight for a generation and beyond.
This attention to quality and service makes Turnberry Rug Works a favourite with interior designers, architects, corporate as well as private clients. In recent times we have provided rugs for a number of Britain’s Embassies around the world, the office of the First Minister in the Scottish Parliament, a Michelin starred restaurant in the Netherlands, Gleneagles Hotel and a specially commissioned, by the National Trust, extensive wall hanging designed by Timorous Beasties for the Robert Burns museum in Alloway.
As an extension to the bespoke service the Turnberry team have curated a series of their own exciting designs and colour schemes which demonstrate the range of styles achievable by the team.
They can be bought directly through this web site.
These rugs will be made here in Scotland to the same exacting and quality standards as our bespoke service but will offer a design and colour palette ready to choose.
